Our snoops doing ground work in Pakwach, Nebbi district have confirmed that local artistes have been snubbed in favour of the traditional Alur music troupe to entertain guests.
Preparations are in high gear for the November 3rd historical moment which will be a chance for the world to witness an inspirational breathtaking view of a hybrid eclipse, a once in a lifetime occassion, where Owiny Primary school in Pakwach has been named the world’s best spot to view the heavenly bodies.
According to the area MP, Hon. Jachan Omach Mandir, the president is expected to be the chief eclipse viewer. Tourists from allover the globe have already flocked WestNile’s gateway, Pakwach to be part of the event.
Despite the Ugx500m budget, the event will cater only for unveiling a monument, bullroasting, and traditional Alur music and brew.
According to a resident of Pakwinyo Village, artistes only visit West Nile when they are faded and forgotten in Bunyoro and Kampala City.
