Bayimba Festival is back for its 9th edition. Unlike previous editions, the festival has now partnered with Bell Lager. The partnership, which was announced to the media on Wednesday at Uganda Breweries Offices in Luzira, will see Bayimba Festival receive a sponsorship package to the tune of Shs50M.

Speaking at the press conference, Roy Tumwizere, National Promotions Manager said; “This beer is made to be part of joyous and celebratory occasions and there is no better occasion than what is now a renowned festival that has become an important benchmark for the consumption of Uganda’s finest arts. Bell Lager recognizes the efforts that have been made in the industry and this sponsorship is the first of a lot more meaningful engagements for the brand on the Ugandan music scene.”

This year’s festival will feature Uganda’s top Kadongo Kamu artistes like Mathias Walukaga, Chris Evans, Ronald Mayinja, Kazibwe Kapo. The genre which was previously programmed for the auditorium will this time close the entire three day main stage showcases.

Also to feature on line up is Ugandan Female Afro-Soul Saxophonist MoRoots, to be joined by celebrated gospel entertainer Exodus.

Other main stage acts include; Irene Namubiru, Magic Hornz (UG), YATATCHI (SWISS), and Amadinda Sound System, collaboration between Uganda and Austria (UG/AUSTRIA).

Bayimba International festival tickets are exclusively on sale at all PayWay kiosk outlets around Kampala City. And the festival will be at Uganda National Cultural Centre on the 16th – 18th September 2016 and the fee for the festival is 5,000 per day.
