Express FC players celebrate a goal

By Robert Kayindi James

Express Football Club extended their preseason unbeaten run with a 2-1 victory over Balangira in a friendly played on Monday at the Muteesa II Memorial Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Returnee attacking midfielder Suleiman Mutyaba was on a target with a decent tap-in that followed John Ssemazzi’s through pass on the 20th minute mark.

In the second half, Joachim Matovu doubled the lead for the Red Eagles before the Balangira pulled one back that eventually turned out to be a mere consolation by the blow of the final whistle.

On Saturday last week, Wasswa Bbosa’s side humiliated Azam FC with a 6-1 thumping at the same venue with Suleiman Mutyaba and Yafesi Mubiru netting twice each while Allan Kyambadde and Derrick Tekkwo were the others on the score sheet.

Earlier on, the Red Eagles had put Kimme FC to the sword with a 13-0 thrashing.
