Key distributors and wholesalers were over the weekend treated to a boat cruise and fine dining at Garuga Beach courtesy of Hima Cement Limited.
Over 70 distributors from various hardware stores in Kampala and its environs were treated to a boat cruise, comedy session and a sumptuous dinner as Hima Cement rewarded them for their role in distributing Hima Cement’s products.
Sophie Mirembe, the Trade Marketing and Territory Manager at Hima Cement explained that distributors play a key role in taking the company’s products closer to the end user and are thus influential in the success of the business.
“We recognize that distributors are a very crucial component in our supply chain. As Hima Cement Limited, it is our culture to appreciate and reward our loyal customers. So, we just wanted to show them our appreciation by hosting them to a day of fun and also communicate our strategic plans,” she said.
By 1pm, distributors were already aboard an Earthwise Ship at the Port Bell pier in Luzira and being treated to light snacks and drinks before setting sail for Garuga Beach. Aboard the ship, music and intermittent comedy sessions from a certain ‘Dolibondo’ kept the guests entertained.
Two hours later, the distributors were stretching their bodies playing games that included volleyball, tug of war and beach soccer. Hima Cement later on rewarded the best performing stores with shopping vouchers.
Hardware World, Cheap Hardware, Seroma among others were all recognized for their contribution towards the growth of Hima Cement’s business in the country.
