After releasing a video of his hit song, Namagembe, one would think that legendary musician Maddox Ssematimba was destined for a mega comeback. To his shock, Mbale fans were not ready to go down memory lane with the singer when he visited the town recently.
Although his show at Club El Tanjia in Mbale town was hugely publicized this didn’t get the singer enough fans to fill the club and rock to his tunes. By midnight, upcoming artistes like Inspector Jil, KMAS and Don Meddy had all performed but the venue was still half empty.
Promoters gave them more time on stage just to make sure all fans had would come through. To their disappointment, the numbers kept on reducing by the minute. It is at this time that the organisers called Maddox on stage to perform for empty chairs. We hope this doesn’t happen again to our Lengend.
