Bobi Wine has raised many questions among fans following reports that he is set to join active politics. The singer who has in the past proclaimed in his socially conscious music that he is not a politician, has left a section of his fans wondering why he has made a turn around now.
The self-proclaimed Ghetto President has now come out to explain why he has decided to to join active politics saying:
“For every crooked politician, there is a dedicated leader who sees the way, goes the way and shows the way. I’ve grown to realize that our problem is not just the words and activities of the bad people, it is the silence and inactivity of the good people. When we were young, we never wanted to take responsibility, but as we grow, responsibility finds us.”
Meanwhile, the “Situuka” singer is reportedly set to contest for the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament. This comes after the would-be MP Apollo Kantinti was thrown out by court over irregularities during the parliamentary elections that were held in February this year.
