Musician Bobi Wine has denied demolishing people’s houses in Busabala. This follows land wrangles in the area that saw several people forceful evicted from the land neighboring his One Love beach in Busabala. While earlier reports indicated that Bobi Wine had acquired the contested land to expand his beach, the singer has rubbished the reports as fabrications to tarnish his name.
He posted: “There is a deliberate move to TURNISH MY NAME by some people who HATE ME for no reason. I want to make it clear that I am NOT involved and neither do I have any link in the demolition of people’s houses in Busabala. It is not the first time such LIES are put against me.
I have never destroyed any body’s property, but some bad hearted people are bent on DESTROYING ME by trading lies about my name. It’s absurd that even ministers were invited to a public meeting but they COULD NOT STAND ON THEIR TWO FEET AND TELL THE TRUTH.
I HAVE NO LAND WRANGLE WITH ANYBODY whatsoever ever. PLIZ STOP SPOILING MY NAME. I own a Beach in Busabala but not every thing that happens in Busabala is my responsibility.”
