Ahead of the Uganda Cup final between Vipers Sports Club and Onduparaka Football Club this Saturday, 18th June at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium, the charges for the eagerly awaited duel have been set. Ordinary fans will have to part with 5,000 while those in the covered stands will pay 10,000 and the VIPs will cough 20,000/= to witness the battle between boarders.
On a related note, the grand prize money for the eventual champion was also revealed during yesterday’s weekly press conference at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala.
“The winner of the Uganda Cup will walk away with a trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of Ugx 7 million while the runners up will get Ugx 2 million and silver medals,” Ali Mwebe, the FUFA competitions director revealed.
On the same day, 200,000/= will be at stake for the annual competition’s top scorer. Currently, Onduparaka’s Mohammad Shaban leads the charts with 7 goals while Vipers’ Erisa Keith Ssekisambu is at 6.
