A 10-man Sports Club Villa side thrashed Bright Stars 3-0 on Tuesday evening at Nakivubo Stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) to move to fourth place on the 16-team log.

Mike Sserumaga gave the Jogoos an early lead when he netted just two minutes into the start of the game while Umar Kasumba doubled it ten minutes later. It was 2-0 at half time and in the second half, right back Godfrey Lwesibawa was sent off in the 70th minute, reducing the Blues to ten men. Three minutes later, John Adriko struck to make it 3-0.

The victory elevated Villa to fourth place on the log with 47 points while Bright Stars remained 12th with 34 points.

At Kavumba Recreational grounds in Wakiso, Police FC came from behind twice to arrest Soana FC with a 3-2 win in the Kavumba derby.

Simon Peter Ssenyonjo’s strike (17th minute) and a brace from Ocen Ben (56th and a penalty in the 77th minutes respectively) were enough for the cops to come out on top in the derby.

Hamis Kitagenda also netted a brace for Soana in the 6th and 37th minutes respectively. Soana are 4th on the table with 45 points while Police are 7th with 44 points.

Elsewhere, Sadolin painted JMC Hippos in the Jinja derby beating them 2-1. The Painters came from a goal down with Oryek Allan giving them the equalizer and Lukungu Ronald netting the winner.

Wandyaka Richard had given JMC the lead by the quarter hour mark.

Sadolin are 9th with 42 points while JMC are 10th with 38 points.
