A lot of A Pass’ music has been used in upcoming Disney movie – “Queen of Katwe”. This was revealed by the movie director Mira Nair while praising the “Wuuyo” singer for being a talented musician.
“I Love APASS’ sound – a true original – we have many of his songs in @QueenOfKatwe – coming soon,” she tweeted.
Based on a true story, “Queen of Katwe” is about a Ugandan chess prodigy who rises from the slums of Katwe to become a world chess champion. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o stars as the mother of the chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi, who is portrayed by Madina Nalwanga.
The upcoming biographical drama will be released in September this year.
