Bobi Wine could not hide his joy as FireBase artistes were finally released from Police custody on Sunday. The FireBase singers who included Red Aya, Dex and Wagi were incarcerated on Thursday morning following a raid by security operatives on their rehearsal studio in Kamwokya.
Bobi has revealed that they received a post-detention counselling and have since put the ordeal behind them. He said, “Finally our artists have been released from jail since Thursday morning. We have done post-detention counselling and they are now already in a good mood. We are musicians not politicians…We are citizens not criminals!”
Meanwhile, the reason for their arrest remains unclear although the “Kiggwa leero” hitmaker insists the FireBase singers are not criminals but productive members of the community.
