News reaching our desk this evening is very unfortunate after Sport Club Victoria University (SCVU) custodian Ramathan Male broke his leg today as his side played against Vipers Sports Club at Buikwe Stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL).

Ramathan broke his leg after a collision with opponent striker Mike Mutyaba, bringing the game to stand still for a couple of minutes before he was lifted off the field on a stretcher.

Meanwhile, the league defending champions thrashed Victoria University 4-0 with Erisa Ssekisambu scoring his first hat trick of the season. The Uganda Cranes striker gave the George ‘Best’ Nsimbe-coached side the lead as early as five minutes into the game before netting a brace in the second half with one coming late in added time. Returnee striker Mike Mutyaba scored the other goal of the day.
