Kampala Capital City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has appealed to the national football team coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic to guide Uganda to the 2017 AFCON in honour of fallen Cranes’ goalkeeper Abel Dhaira.

Speaking at the former Uganda Cranes’ stopper church service at All Saints Church, Nakasero, Lukwago said; “Coach Micho, you should guide Uganda to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations as a way to honour our fallen brother Abel Dhaira.”

His body will this afternoon be paraded at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium at the heart of Kampala for public viewing before being transported to his home in Walukuba, Jinja later on in the evening.

Dhaira succumbed to abdominal cancer about a week ago in Iceland and will be laid to rest on Wednesday. 6th April at his ancestral home in Mayuge district.

May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace!
