Exodus

Energy filled song with a solid texture of praise. Exodus poured out his appreciation of God’s hand in his life on this song. With sonorous shouts, thunderous drumbeats and gritty energy, “Igwe” is a deeply passionate thanksgiving song to the Holy of holies. The Alpha and Omega. The Creator.

Many a time in life we get lost to the thrill. We forget that nothing we have truly is our own… including “our” lives! Nothing is truly our own! We can hope but can’t tell what tomorrow may bring. The moment may be fleeting and deceiving that our own strength is enough. That all we have is a result of our own power. That we are self made with the various gifts, talents or relationship.

In our moments of achievement, may we not lose our heads to the deafening praises from the world and make God as alien as possible.

“Papa, this day I don’t come to ask for money/ I don’t come to ask anything oohh/ I de come to praise/ I de come to say thank you/ For blessing me nyafunyafu (read abundantly)

The singer humbles himself before the Lord. He clearly states in the opening remarks, he owes to God all his success. He does not only come in time of need. He seeks not a quickie but a relationship. This is how God will bless you. Praise Him with a heart of thanksgiving.
