Known for his carefree and rather reckless lifestyle, Urban TV presenter Charlie Denzel Mwiyeretsi was yet on another daring expedition on mountain Rwenzori over the weekend. Denzel shared about his mountaineering experience online, revealing that temperatures on the mountain were subzero and a mere slip would lead to one’s death.
“After walking for four days, averaging 6-7 hours per day, you find yourself above the clouds, roughly 5100m above sea level. Average temperature minus TEN degrees. Welcome to the peak of Mt. Rwenzori!” He started.
“The wind is so cold, if you DARE breathe with an open mouth, it rushes into your lungs like 100 razor blades cutting through your wind pipe leaving you regretting your decision,” he added.
“Did I mention you trek inclines so steep, one slip and you go sliding down the ice glacier to meet your death in a pool of subzero water that takes 5 seconds to extinguish your bodies heat leaving you to die of hypothermia if not rescued in time,” he concluded.
