The long standing beef between fast rising Kadongo Kamu star Vincent Ssegawa and celebrated figure Mathias Walukaga is brewing quite a storm that the gods may need to consult higher gods from Mars or Jupiter. The two artistes are breathing fire!.
Ssegawa claims that the beef started about 6 years back when still under Mathias Walukaga. He says that his former boss was not pleased with his fast rising popularity and started to sabotage his progress. He explained that the “Bakoowu” singer would go to radio stations and bribe people not to play his songs.
While under Mathias’ care, Vincent revealed that he would always be left out on the list of performers or at times Walukaga would perform last and bid people farewell then invite him to sing to the departing crowd, empty chairs and speakers. Having had enough of the ordeal, he went independent and started his own crew, “Friends band”.
His songs became popular and then Mathias attempted to woo him back but he stood his ground. He claims Mathias sabotaged him from getting award nominations too. He has called promoters never to put up shows that will see him share stage with Mathias. He also claims Mathias is trying to bewitch him but he is also “protected”.
Walukaga denies the claims saying Ssegawa is just a young boy. Using football talk, he says he is Messi while Ssegawa is Farouk Miya (Uganda Cranes striker) He thumped his chest saying the sky has enough room for every bird to fly just like he did when Kafeero and Fred Sebata were the kings of Kadongo Kamu.
