A Police case involving Rich Gang boss, Ivan Ssemwanga and a 30-year-old city businessman who deals in car importation from Tanzania and Kenya, Gadafi Sadat Serusiba, has taken a new twist.
In this case, Ivan Ssemwanga, is being accused of beating up the businessman and throwing him out of Club Guvnor in a scuffle that resulted into him losing his property and money. The aggrieved party has called upon the Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura to intervene.
Sadat made the request after the two parties whose case was opened up at Jinja road Police Station under file number GEF/110/2015, failed to reach a unanimity.
Sadat says that he was taken a back after he got news from Ssemwanga’s camp asking him to withdraw the case from Police so that Ivan can pick his passport which was confiscated and he also gets his compensation. “This shows that there is money that he got and took it to the DPP in order for my file to be tampered with once it makes reaches that office. I said no to the offer,” Sadat said.
He says that Ivan is showing off that he is rich and that no one can arrest him. It is at this point that Sadat asked for IGP General Kale Kayihura’s help. “I am requesting that General Kale Kayihura comes to my rescue and helps me get justice from these people because they think that they are too big to be prosecuted,” he said.
Ssemwanga is also accused of beating up Gadafi, pouring him alcohol while they were at Guvnor at a party last Thursday.
