Emotions overtook Bwaise residents today when they woke to the news of the death of one of their stars, Master Blaster. Popular for his ‘Embooko’ song, musician Master Blaster died today in Bwaise at Eden night club after he was shot.
After a day of hunting for the killer, Bwaise residents together with their Political leaders were planning to steal Master Blaster’s body from Mulago mortuary to find out what exactly killed him.
“I was with him last night, we went to the club together, we even walked around on the streets together and he was telling me how he has been reported dead 10 times but God always keeps him alive. In the morning when I woke up, I was told he died. I am very sad and want to go and see his body. Police needs to stop these people who are killing Ugandans,” said one of his fans who among the group that wanted to storm the mortuary at Mulago hospital.
Kawempe Mayor, Hajji Munyagwa Mubarak was also among the group of people who wanted to steal body from Mulago in order for fans to pay their last respects to a star they believe was murdered.
The group was stopped by police and taken through the appropriate procedure of getting the body.
