At the beginning of this month, Ghetto Gladiator, Bobi Wine stopped traffic on Old Kiira road to have a dangerous pothole sealed.
Trouble started when the “Tugambire Ku Jennifer’ singer who was on his way from his home to town blocked Old Kiira Road in Kamwokya after a big pothole in the middle of the road had created traffic jam after a car got stuck in it. At this point, Bobi and his crew got out of their ride to get a temporary solution. He later ranted on Social Media over the issue.
Following his message to KCCA, the city authority has been in action for the last couple of weeks. KCCA released a statement to the public about the status of the Old Kiira road;
“Major works at the section are done with only minor works pending. Restricted use of the road is currently allowed for light vehicles, pedestrians and motor cycles. Heavy vehicles are advised to use the alternative routes to allow concrete gain sufficient strength to withstand the traffic loads. The route will be opened this week after total completion of all works.” Well done to Bobi and KCCA.
