Nigerian dancehall star Patoranking will join Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz in a concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on Friday, 18th December. The concert will offer Ugandans a chance to witness the Nigerian hit maker perform live on Ugandan soil.
Dubbed ‘Born to Win’ concert, revelers should brace themselves for a massive stage show. Both artists have been busy all year long, releasing some really powerful tracks that have received massive airplay in Uganda and across the continent. Diamond has received awards including the Best African/Indian Act award at the 2015 MTV EMA and named Artist of the year at the AFRIMA Awards.
Patoranking, on the other hand, has not been in Uganda before – but his unique style has won him a number of fans already in the East African nation. Patoranking is a self-confessed fan of Jose Chameleone and has sung about Uganda in his hit ‘Daniella Whine’. The two will be joined on stage by a cast of Ugandan artists in a show that is set to kick off at 4pm local time.
