Players injured in Uganda Cranes bus accident discharged

Uganda Cranes players that sustained injuries after the team bus was involved in an accident on Tuesday have been discharged from hospital.

The team had traveled to Soroti to present the CECAFA trophy that they won in Ethiopia on Saturday last week to H.E Gen. Yoweri Museveni.

However, on their way back, the Uganda Cranes bus rammed into a taxi at Kamokoli – Jami near Mbale Town in which five people were confirmed dead and several others sustained injuries including two national team players.

The players in light are Okot Denis and Hassan Wasswa Dazol who had been admitted to Nakasero Hospital under the care and facilitation of government.

The government has also pledged to compensate all the accident victims. The pledge was made through the Sports Minister Hon. Charles Bakabulindi who while speaking to KFM said they will first wait for a police report.
