The highly anticipated Radio and Television Academy awards were held on Wednesday evening at the Kampala Serena Hotel with many media personalities taking home awards.

However, not every one was happy with the organisers as some of the individuals have expressed their discontent claiming the awards were biased.

“The awards this year have been fake. The ones who have won did not deserve to win,” fumed MC Ibra after the ceremony.

“The awards were not fair. I think some of those who won must have paid for the awards because they clearly did not deserve them,” added another popular presenter who preferred anonymity.

The awards which seek to honour personalities and companies for their contribution to the development of the Radio and Television industry in Uganda were being held for 3rd successive year.
