The Uganda Cranes team was involved in an accident at Kamonkoli, Budaka on their way back to Kampala after their meeting with President Museveni in Soroti who congratulated them upon winning the CECAFA cup in Ethiopia on Saturday.
The Cranes bus reportedly rammed into a taxi after the driver lost control following a punctured tire. Reports further indicate that at least five people have been confirmed dead with several others nursing injuries.
A statement released by FUFA, however, indicated that all the Cranes players and officials were all safe and only three of them had been injured in the accident.
