Is age not against Swahili Nation?

Swahili Nation, a group of talented men was one of the most respected music groups in Uganda around 2000. This was due to their compelling voices and style.

The Sweden based group would soon vanish into oblivion and people missed out on their lovely voices until recently when the group decided to regroup. They announced their comeback with a new single titled Loco and seem intent on re-establishing themselves as one of the top music groups.

The group was recently spotted on stage at the I know concert that was organised by Reach A hand Uganda in commemoration of World Aids Day. People gave them a warm welcome, singing along to their songs.

But the question is, aren’t they too old?

It is believed that the youngest member of the group is almost clocking 40 years leaving us wondering whether the group will be able to keep up with the pressure of our music industry.

Musicians in Uganda apparently spend sleepless nights working tooth and nail to make ends meet something that might prove tricky for the group. We, however, wish them the best.
