The recently concluded TV West Choice awards have left many artistes, emcees, fans and other stakeholders very disappointed. The awards were allegedly unfair as the people’s votes did not count but rather awards were bought, according to a one MC Tonny. MC Tonny stressed that General Geeon beat Penny Patra hands down on votes but the award was handed to the latter something that left fans very bitter.
“So many other categories were also cheated the same way. The awards are losing credibility if they don’t change and consider votes, they are losing fans too,” he said.
However, MC Tonny is not the only person who feels the same, several other stakeholders have been left frustrated by the recent awards.
“Thank you so much TV West for the great work you are doing for our Artists but still work upon those few issues for the betterment of our music industry in Western Uganda. These are not my words or views but they are people’s words like DJs, Artists and fans,” another bitter fan lamented.
