Game put up $10,000 dollars for the funeral of Tiana Ricks, the 6-year-old girl who was shot to death outside of her family home in Moreno Valley, Calif., last Saturday (Sept. 7), reports TMZ.
“Game told me that he heard about my story and was really sorry,” said Ricks’ mother, Marquia Macklin. “He said that he wanted to help out and put me in touch with his financial team.”
Ricks and her father, Tyrell Ricks, 26, were attending a relative’s college send-off party when two men approached the driveway where they were standing, one shouted, one opened fire. Both Tiana and Tyrell were hit and as Tiana lie dying, she reportedly asked her father, “Are you OK, Daddy?”
“This very sad story hit me in a place nothing ever has … Tiana did not know she was shot & kept asking was her father okay,” Game tweeted.
According to the local NBC station, Tyrell had just recently moved to Moreno Valley from the Midwest and says he does not have any gang ties and doesn’t know why they were shot. He was transported to a hospital after the incident and treated for a gunshot wound in the pelvis. Tiana died early Sunday morning. Her funeral will be held this Saturday.
