SC Villa

By Robert Kayindi James

SC Villa yesterday morning left for Kigali, Rwanda following an invitation for the 2015 Rayon Sport StarTimes Christmas Cup.

According to the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Ivan Kakembo, a contingent of 22 players and four officials led by Frank ‘Video’ Anyau traveled to Rwanda.

Kakembo added that the Blues will be using the 8-team tournament as a buildup for the forth coming CAF Confederations Cup in which they are yet to confirm their participation.

Villa is grouped with Rayon Sports, Gicumba FC and Kiyovu FC who they face today in their tournament opener.

Isaac Muleme however missed the trip as he is part of the Uganda Cranes team in Ethiopia that is playing at the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
