More DStv customers will soon be part of the journey to some of the world’s best travel destinations, timeless cities, cultures and landmarks, as the Travel Channel (179) becomes available to DStv Compact and DStv Family packages from 10 December 2015.

The channel, which is currently available to DStv Premium and DStv Extra customers, will now unlock a new world of entertainment to a wider audience on DStv.

On 10 December 2015, Animal Planet (183) will no longer be available to DStv Compact customers, but will continue to be present in the DStv Premium and DStv Extra packages. The change is part of a new packaging strategy for Discovery’s channel portfolio on DStv that will capitalise on the entire range of its much-loved brands. The new approach, to be announced shortly, will align these services with DStv customers in a way that will deliver superior value to fans of Discovery’s brands all over Africa.

DStv Compact customers who are fans of this genre of programming can find similar programming like award winning documentaries on animals, wild life adventure and exploration of the creatures of our universe on Nat Geo Wild (182) and National Geographic(181).
