Kampala based hip-hop singer and rapper, Navio, recently revealed that Ugandans don’t like good music. The Kata rapper who was speaking to Kampala Express revealed that he has observed that many Ugandans never have time for great conscious music.
“Ugandans do not find much interest in “conscious”, thoughtful music, preferring the simple, fun, party beat and lyrics, which is why most of his records are of the “baby tonight” variant,” he was quoted by Kampala express.
Born Daniel Kigozi, Navio is a son to the Kampala business sector figure Dr. Margaret Kigozi, former Executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority.
