US actor Charlie Sheen to announce he is HIV positive

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen is expected to announce that he is HIV positive in an interview on NBC’s ‘Today’ show which airs today.

Just like Uganda’s Philly Bongole Lutaaya, Charlie Sheen is one of the few entertainers that have come out to publicly reveal their HIV statuses. The late Philly Bongole Lutaaya is deemed a hero by many for his boldness and stepping out in the glare to declare that he was HIV positive. Now, it seems, Charlie Sheen is following suit.

The actor is popular for his ‘Two And a Half Men’ stint where he was eventually fired after a public meltdown that had him lashing out at the show’s creator.
