Fast-rising comedienne, Anne Kansiime seems to be the best Uganda’s comedy export in recent years. This after the funny girl from Kabale beat legendary South African comedian Trevor Noah, who went in Jon Stewart’s shoes, and Nigeria’s celebrated comedian BasketMouth to win the Best Comedian Award in the African Entertainment Awards, USA.
The joy was palpable as Kansiime broke the news to her fans on social media where she posted:
“Kansiime Anne/Entertainer wins the African Entertainment Awards USA, Best Comedian’s Award.
We have received and are over the moon about the news of yet another award for your Ninja girl Kansiime Anne; Best Comedian’s Award AEA USA.
The nomination that placed her among the best African contenders (Trevor Noah and BasketMouth ) was good enough, but the win simply shows just how truly favoured and chosen this Ninja girl really is.
