During an interview on the Serena based TV station NTV, Dr Jose Chameleone asked Ugandans to stop insulting him over the decision he made of attending the Tubonga Nawe dinner and also backing Museveni in the upcoming 2016 presidential elections
The singer who was furious told Ugandans that he has been representing them for the past 15 years through singing songs that stress out their problems to the government and that it was the right time to represent himself too
“I am a public asset and a government intellectual property, I have been representing Ugandans for the past 15 years but in this matter I am representing joseph Mayanja I have a right like other people to represent my own will. If you want to talk to the President wait for his convoy on the roadside and talk to him you have member of Parliament stop asking me to represent you i am a musician not a politician”. He said
“And during the dinner I talked about the copy right law on our music but since it was our first time to dine with the president it wasn’t necessary to look so desperate telling him many problems at once”. He added
