A little Legend is on the way.
Musician John Legend and his wife, model Chrissy Teigen, are expecting their first child, they announced on Instagram Monday.
“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant,” she wrote.
“As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.”
She adds, “We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx”
As she prepares for motherhood, Teigen already has a few firm rules she plans to follow — at least when it comes to childcare.
“No hot nannies, drivers or maids,” she recently said. “It’s an ongoing joke in my house. I do want kids one day, so it’s something that I have to think about.”
As for how many babies will make up their brood? Teigen told PEOPLE she sees a big family in her future.
“I picture us with three or four,” she said in May. “John and I go hard in everything we do. And we like a bit of chaos.”
The parents-to-be just celebrated their second wedding anniversary on Sept. 14.
