Musician David Lutalo has today received his cash prize amounting to Ugx 2.5Million after he emerged the artiste of the month for September in the MTN CallerTunez Online awards. David Lutalo’s “Manya” garnered 6,692 downloads to take over Rema’s “Mchuzi” which was the most downloaded song for August.
Speaking after receiving his cash prize, David Lutalo said, “I am very grateful and happy with MTN for creating such a unique platform where artistes are recognized for their creative works and fans are recognized for their support.”
He added: “I appreciate my fans for downloading my “Manya” caller tune. I have many other songs on the MTN Caller Tune portal and encourage all my fans to download and enjoy them.”
