SC Villa came from behind to pocket their first victory this season while away to SC Victoria University at Namboole Stadium where they won 2-1.
The two sides played to a goalless first half in a fairly contested game.
After recess, home side Victoria University took the lead through Farouk Kawooya however the Blues didn’t seem ready to lose more points at this stage in the league as Ambrose Kirya leveled matters.
Continued great inter-play from Antonio Flores side earned them their first lead through Martin Kizza as they put the score line to 2-1.
Efforts from both sides for another goal were fruitless as the Jogoos matched away with maximum points that lifted them to 9th spot on the league table with 4 points from 3 games while Victoria University are 11th with 3 points from two games under the charges of Harunah Mawa.
Elsewhere, Kawempe based side Bright Stars played to a 1-1 draw with army side Simba Sports Clubs.
Mathias Kiyonga score for Bright Stars who were without their head coach Fred Kajoba (traveled with the Cranes) while Martin Mugabi netted for Morley Byekwaso’s side.
In Luzira, Uganda Prisons side, Maroons fc failed a home test against Jinja based side Sadolin Paints as they lost 1 -0.
