Flavia Tumusiime continues to share inspiring stories from her life and career in the “30 days of Flavia Tumusiime” series. On day 11, she posted:
“I realized that many women…not all, are quick to tear down a fellow woman working hard, but quick to applaud a man in the same position. I hosted an event last year and one of my tasks was to introduce a certain accomplished lady. I had read about her and was so excited to meet her. She looked me up and down, rolled her eyes and walked away. She even asked that i don’t introduce her, that a guy should do it. I had never met her and was so disappointed with her reaction. Why are we so against each other? You constantly hear….why does she have a better job and i don’t? Who did she sleep with? Why does she look good in that dress? She was fake in school, what changed? She is sleeping around,why do you want to date her?…who cares????? Ladies, learn to run your own race and don’t worry about what your neighbor is doing. Lets respect each others’
