Congratulations are in order for Rema Namakula as she has won the first ever MTN Callertunez online award.
The singer known for her Muchuzi hit single, got the most number of downloads from MTN Customers on the MTN Callertunez platform. With over 6,000 downloads in 30 days, Rema was announced as the winner of the first award today on the MTN Facebook page.
“Congratulations to RemaNamakula the first MTN CallerTunez Online Awards 2015 monthly winner,” read the post in part.
“Rema’s Muchuzi song was the most downloaded tune in August 2015 thus winning the CallerTune of the month prize worth 2.5Million. We also rewarding lucky customers who most downloaded and promoted MTN CallerTunez in August.”

All this comes at a time when CD sales are waning and paving way for Digital Content consumption with CallerTunez being one of the major revenue streams for industry stakeholders.
