Former Fire Base crew member Buchaman real names Mark Bugembe was recently charged with reckless driving after he knocked down a Boda boda cyclist in Luzira.
The fading singer who was trying to overtake a Toyota Ipsum vehicle that was in front of his Toyota RAV4 car, knocked a Boda boda that was carrying two passengers though no one sustained injuries. This attracted Bodaboda cyclists that gathered and asked the singer to buy a new rear light worth Ugx30,000, that he agreed to do before he politely asked them to forgive him. The bodaboda cyclists felt sorry for Buchaman and agreed to let him go after confessing that he was broke and had no money on him.
However this did not save him from traffic officials who ordered him to drive to Jinja Road Police Station from where Buchaman was ordered to take a breathalyzer test but was found sober. He was then charged with reckless driving but later released on bond after making frantic calls, but no one turned up to rescue him.
