The 2015 Copa Coca Cola champions St Marys’ Boarding secondary school, Kitende stunned Azam Uganda Premier League side, Bright Stars in a pre-season friendly that ended 3-1 at the school playground in Kitende.

As Bright Stars continue to prepare for the kickoff of 2015/16 season, Kitende were also getting ready for the forth coming East African Schools’ football title defence in Guye city, Rwanda.

Goals from Alfred Leku and Uganda U-17 striker, Shaban Muhammed who netted a brace were enough to see off Fred Kajoba’s side.

The Kawempe based side got their only consolation through Augustine, a Nigerian national on trials with the team.

Bright Stars have engaged in a couple of buildup matches in which they condemned Erimu F.C and Stegota F.C to 4-1 and 2-1 defeats respectively and Matugga F.C who they beat 3-0 before their two-all draw against Express fc last week.

Meanwhile, St Marys’ Kitende was crashed 4-0 by Azam Uganda Premier League reigning champions, Vipers Sports Club in an earlier fixture.

Kitende are seeded in Pool A with another Ugandan school, St. Joseph College, Laibi, Passenga High School from Kenya, LT Gitega from Burundi, Muhanga TC of Rwanda and Makongo from Tanzania.
