The Shell V-Power Go-karts championship takes place on the 9th August at the UMA show grounds with over 10 drivers confirming participation.

Motor sport currently has a big and continued growing fan base in Uganda and this has encouraged Vivo Energy through the V-Power brand and the F1 UG association are bringing the fun closer to the motorsport fans and  are organising the first ever Go Kart championship.

The V-Power Go-kart champion ship will become a quarterly event in order to keep the sport in the sport light.

The Winner’s Prizes will include: Winner 1: Car servicing, a GO Car souvenir and A fuel Voucher worth 150,000. Winner 2 A fuel Voucher, worth 200,000/ -Uganda shillings and a go cart souvenir and Winner 3 wins a Fuel Voucher worth 100,000/-Uganda Shillings and a go car souvenir.

Go-karts come in all shapes and forms, from motor less models to high-powered racing machines, some, like Super karts, being able to beat racing cars on long circuits. Gravity racers, usually referred to as Soap Box Derby carts, are the simplest type of go-karts.
