Comedian Rwabutomize Joseph aka Laptopp, who forms a comedy duo with a one Ojay, could not hide his joy after the duo emerged the best comedian in the inaugural HIT(Heaven Inspired Triumph) awards.
Laptopp went ahead to thank fans on his Facebook timeline dedicating the award to his fiancée with whom they will soon walk down the aisle.
He posted: “To all my fans and friends, thank you for giving me the opportunity of winning this wonderful award. I dedicate this Award to all of you that spent your pleasurable time and finances voting.
And to my number one FAN, my fiancee, Stella K Mukulu, for the encouragement and support through this all. A gift from God, a gift so fine that you can never be measured. It’s you my treasure. The journey continues, bigger and better as Laptopp and Ojay change your world of comedy.”
Laptopp and Ojay beat fellow comedians Apollo, fun factory’s Ronnie McVex and Uncle Bob to the award.
HIT awards are aimed at awarding those who have excelled in their areas or fields, as inspired by their christian faith, to make a difference in the world.
