With barely 24 hours left for KCCA FC to face off with Sudanese side Al Shandy in the quarter finals of this year’s CECAFA Kagame Cup, senior defender Denis Okot is optimistic that his side will get a positive result.
“It is team work that has brought us this far, team work will lead us through. Our opponents are not that bad but I believe we are better. We will do our best,” Denis Okot said about their game tomorrow with Al Shandy.
The two sides will clash at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam for a slot at the semi-finals of the annual tournament.
Meanwhile, the two ‘Balangila’ in names of Mike Mutebi and Sam Ssimbwa, in their capacity as head coach and assistant respectively believe that their time at the tournament is far from done and that all players are fit for the fight.
“Their fitness levels are good. With exception of Derrick Nsibambi, all of them are well. We are tasking them again this Wednesday and we believe they will take us forward,” Coaches Mike and Sam remarked.
