Veteran radio presenter Oulanya Columbus seems to be feeling the impact of the dollar’s appreciation against the shilling after he was recently spotted haggling with a taxi conductor over 1K.
According to our source who was in the same taxi with Oulanya, the Capital FM’s Big Breakfast show presenter exchanged bitter words with a conductor of a commuter taxi heading to Ntinda after he failed to agree with a conductor over the shs1000 fee.
Oulanya argued that he had earlier flashed a sign showing he had only five hundred shillings from Kamwokya to Ntinda before boarding the taxi but seems the conductor didn’t understand the sign language. Upon reaching Kabira country club, Oulanya tried to get off but the conductor asked him to pay the one thousand which he didn’t seem to have till the driver saved him by ordering the conductor to let him go after arguing for some time.
