Musician Catherine Kusasira who spent a night in the Government prison in Kigo could be in hot soup over her ever accumulating money problems.
The singer who is accused of obtaining 1 million shillings by false pretense where she also allegedly stole a song from a one Lyto Boss, has been cited in another scandal that could see her rot in jail.
We have been told that the singer is also being accused of diddling a music promoter identified as Lubwana of millions of shillings.
Our sources revealed to us that the Golden band affiliated singer failed to perform at a show organized by Lubwama in Mbale. The show was slated to take place at Sports Gardens in the Eastern Ugandan district months back. Catherine pocketed millions of shillings and never showed up.
According to Lubwama, he had already paid the ‘Sonyiwa bano’ singer 4 million shillings as part of the payment for the shows that would take place in Eastern Uganda but she never turned up leaving him in heavy loses.
A case of obtaining money by false presence was filled against Catherine by Lubwama but she didn’t honour any police summons leaving the promoter dissatisfied.
We have been told that in the wake of the recent scandal, Lubwama has vowed to also resurrect his case so that he is paid his money.
The promoter is determined to fight tooth and nail until the singer either pays the money or rots in jail.
Catherine denies Lubwama’s claims.
