Promoter Suudi Lukwago has promised to bring Barbadian singer, actress, songwriter and fashion designer, Rihanna to Kampala in December.
The promoter who is currently working on final arrangements said that everything is almost done. He also said that he is now looking for a good venue and sponsorship. Suudi also revealed that the date for the show is December 4th and no promoter should think of putting up any show on this date.
Asked why he failed to deliver when he promised to fly in Chris Brown, Suudi said that he backed down because at the moment he was not sure of the exact concert dates since Chris Brown was still in jail with no clear release date.
“I’m in talks with KCCA and the National Council of Sports to see the possibility of holding the show at Lugogo Cricket Oval, because it’s the best odd so far,” Suudi said.
Rihanna is a big sensation among Ugandan youth. We hope to see her in Kampala soon.
