Singer Eddy Kenzo who returned to Uganda this afternoon after winning the BET award had a drive from Entebbe to Kampala with a convoy of over 20 cars. On reaching Katwe, the singer asked for a stop over so he could say hello to his friends with whom they grew and hustled together. Kenzo did not only dine with them but also let them take pictures with the award and left them an inspiring message.
He said:“Teri kitasoboka. Emyaka kumi emabega twaliwano fena nga njokya byuma naye nalemera kumulamya, buli omu alemere kukyakola empera jeli”, which loosely translates to; “Ten years ago I was here welding but I remained focused on my music. Stick and love what you do, there is always a good reward.”
Kenzo further drove to Mengo, where he spent part of his life, and he met his long time friends too. Kenzo is set to call all his friends and fans to a party later this week.
