Club Venom marketing manager and city hunk, Gareth Onyango has had a tough few past days. The marketing guru who has put the club on another level was rumoured to be in the firing line by the club’s bosses and could face the axe any time.
According to sources, Gareth Onyango put the club in debt and has failed to account for the monies. We have been told that Onyango was moved from the Beach bar after making a mess of it back to the club section of Venom to make sure that he doesn’t lead to further loses at the Beach bar section.
Other sources reveal that his lawyer boss was not happy when he bought a brand new ride even when the club had plunged into debt.
But can Venom really get rid of Onyango that easily. The answer is no. During his time at Rouge as club manager, the ladies man had turned the Jinja road hangout a place to be every night. We are told that a lot of profit was realised by the owners before he left for Venom.
While at Venom, he used his marketing skills to turn the club and beach bar around in the direction of making money. “He introduced several initiatives at the club which brought in money. He popularized it and brought all his celebrity friends to the party and in turn the celebrities interested their fans into partying at the club,” says a source at Venom.
“If he leaves, all this could also leave with him and the club won’t be able to even clear the debts,” the source added.
His marketing skills are undisputed, his looks charming for the ladies and his relationships with celebrities and their night love addicted fans strong, but will he get a second chance from his bosses? Our bet is as good as yours.
