As the craze for Ugandan entertainment amongst Ugandans living in the Schengen countries continues to rise, more entertainment ideas and activations are being born out there.
One of these is the promotion company Red Zone which has been taking Ugandan performers to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Holland and Finland for concerts.
Red Zone is now one of the leading promotion companies in Denmark promoting and organizing concerts for Ugandan entertainers including musicians, actors and comedians among others.
Their latest concert which featured Mowzey Radio and Weasel a month ago was a sellout. Now Red Zone have their attention set on the September 24 – October 13 2015 ‘European Music Tour’ of songbird Irene Ntale and poignant lyricist David Lutalo. The two hot cakes will perform in Germany, Norway, Sweden, France, Finland and Holland between September 24 and October 13.
However, the biggest of the shows is expected on Saturday October 3 2015 when Lutalo and Ntale are expected to stage a massive show alongside other Ugandan performers based in the region. The show will also feature some top DJs.
Ntale and Lutalo have already each penned a lucrative deal to perform and the tickets to the concert are already on sale in Copenhagen and surrounding cities.
As Red Zone vies to hold onto their position as the best Ugandan promoters in the region, the group’s CEO Mr Melo D’Series says that they have several activations lined up for Ugandans in the coming weeks.
“Our aim is to bring home [Uganda] to all the hardworking Ugandans in this region,” said Melo. “Our bodies are here to make ends meet but our hearts are perfectly lodged in Uganda so these kind of events help us connect with home away from home.”
Melo says that Red Zone, which started business April last year, will also organize a football match between Ugandans in Denmark (Cranes Denmark) and Cranes Netherlands.
Later this year they will also host a BBQ during the Kampala Night to be hosted at Mambo Entertainment.
Irene Ntale who will be making her debut in the Schengen region says that she is excited to work with Red Zone.
In just over a year of their existence, Red Zone has flown the likes of Bobi Wine, Nubian Li, Mesach Semakula, Sizzaman and Good Life to Schengen for concerts.
Melo has promised Ugandans in Denmark that the Copenhagen concert is going to be one of its kind.
