Villa, KCCA Seek 9th Uganda Cup Title in the 41st Edition Of The Tournament

Entrance will be only 10,000Ugx as thousands gather for the long awaited Uganda Cup final at Kyamate Sports Ground in Ntungamo, Western Uganda.

The turf will be in for it in the big search for the superior color when the ‘Yellows’ of KCCA take on the ‘Blues’ of SC Villa.

With both sides tied at 8 Uganda Cup titles, Sports Club Villa and Kampala Capital City Authority FC will be seeking their 9th crown when the two giants clash tomorrow in the 41st edition of Uganda Cup final. Only Express beats the two sides with more Uganda Cup titles as they tally up to 10 crowns.

Villa last won the annual competition 7 years ago while KCCA’s last victory was 11 years ago and both sides will be eager to quench their thirst for silverware in the Uganda Cup.

Villa eliminated 2013 champions Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) in the quarter finals before ejecting Bul fc in the semi-finals while on the other hand KCCA FC dumped out Kyambogo and Lweza fc in the quarter finals and semi-finals respectively.

Prize For the Winners:

Apart from the shiny trophy, the victor of the Uganda Cup will get a cash prize of Ushs 7M and also play in the annual CAF Confederations Cup as Uganda’s representatives.The runners up will walk away with a cash prize of Ushs 2M. Other rewards will be for the top scorer, the MVP among others.

Fahad Muhammed Hassan Tokko – 6 Goals (SC Victoria University)
Fred Kyambadde – 6 Goals (The Saints F.C)
Herman Wasswa – 5 Goals (KCC F.C)
