B2C group has been around for years but it was not until 2 years back when they realized that it was necessary for them to commercialize their music hence getting signed under Andy events, well known for organizing big events.
They seem a reserved but very thrilling group of young men that are in their early 20’s with great vocals. BigEye.ug‘s Tuhairwe Joab caught up with them for an exclusive interview. Below are the excerpts:
QN: Who are the members of B2C?
ANS: B2C is comprised of artiste like Mr. Lee aka Mugisha Richard, Bobby Lash aka Ssali Peter and Kassaga Julius aka Delivad Julio
QN. What does B2C stand for?
Ans: Born to conquer. It came about when we were meant to perform at Theatre La’bonita and the MC asked us our group name and we were undecided. We therefore came up with something simple but catchy and that’s B2C but initially we were known as The BASE (Blessings and Saviors entertainment).
QN: How did you meet to form B2C?
ANS: We grew up together in Makindye, went to the same secondary school (Crested Sec. Sch.) and therefore we have known ourselves for almost all our lives.
QN: Who is your role model as a group?
ANS: As B2C, we look up to Sauti Soul from Kenya, they are such an amazing group and we hope to put up something either similar to theirs or even better. We follow everything they do though we don’t necessarily copy them.
QN: What do you find unique about your selves?
ANS: Our versatility is our main tool, B2C is a group that can basically do any genre of music besides Kadongo kamu and hip hop, and definitely our voices that our fans are yearning for over and over gain wherever we go.
QN: Considering that you are in your early 20s and you have already started making a name out of your music, babes must have already started frequenting you on different social media platforms, how do you deal with this challenge?
ANS: Babes are not a challenge to us in our career because we are not new to this game, we have not just seen girls and we know how to play our cards right and above all, our foundation is firm, we grew from the church and therefore we are morally upright and definitely advice from elders will see us through.
QN: How do you spend your free time?
ANS: If we are not home watching TV and movies, we are in the studio cooking .
QN: Many people usually associate one of you, Julio with Bruno of coca cola sing it, are you any how related to him?
ANS: Hahaha again! Well you are not the first one to ask me that question but the fact is, am not anywhere related to Bruno, yes I know him and am a friend to his sister Beatrice but we are not related. I just hear people say we look alike, and have a similar voice. Actually his sister once confused me with him too, she had invited me for a party and she taped me thinking he was the one.
QN: Most singing groups don’t last for long due to issues related to love, finances, and leadership. How are you ready to deal with such issues?
ANS: Wao! That’s a tricky question but what I can say is; we grew up together, we know each other’s strength and weakness, what makes them happy and what makes them lose it so that gives us an upper hand on that matter and above all our management Andy Events will surely be handling our finances.
QN: Whats has been your worst moment ever since you started singing?
ANS: We have not had such terrible moments, maybe when you go for a show and the DJ gives you little sound as if he doesn’t want people to hear you singing.
QN: And your best moment?
Singing before huge crowds and they all scream in appreciation. This happened when we were performing at Freedom City and the crowd went crazy for us.
QN: Where do you see B2C 5 years from now?
B2C is going to be a big brand; we are actually looking forward to make it a record label something that might come to pass in those very years. We really have big dreams.
